75th Foundation Day of Indian Council For Cultural Relations Celebrated in Sri Lanka
Today, the 75th Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was celebrated in Sri Lanka with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Honorable Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Vidura Wickramanayaka, along with High Commissioner Santosh Jha. The evening witnessed a cultural soirée, bringing together ICCR alumni and awardees.
Chief Guest Honorable Susil Premajayantha extended his congratulations to the Indian Council for Cultural Relations for its efforts in promoting cultural, religious, and social linkages. High Commissioner Jha praised the pivotal role of ICCR in India’s cultural diplomacy and acknowledged its contribution to strengthening the people-to-people connect between India and Sri Lanka.
During the event, ICCR Pratibha Sangam awardees were presented with cash prizes. The evening came alive with captivating performances of Indian classical dances and music, showcasing the richness of Indian culture.
